Cooking with black Truffles is a big deal. When using Truffles for cooking it is important to remember that they must never be heated to over 40º C, otherwise they would lose most of their properties. On the other hand, cooking with Spanish Meats is a quick ticket to Spain and its worldwide recognized cuisine.

Spanish gastronomy is one of the finest in the world. These meats,  “embutidos” and charcuterie are a must try when visiting the country or just when feeling like eating something new and tasty. There are many types of Spanish Meats, however ham is for sure, the one that stands out from the rest.

Iberico Ham, Bellota Ham “Pata Negra” and Serrano Ham are the top three types of Ham you’d like to have in your radar. Each one has its own personality and they can all be used in tons of recipes. Truffles are the same. Black Truffles can be paired with many other products but they are best combined with fatty foods. For example: rice, eggs and pasta, meat, salad and desserts.

Truffles and Spanish Meats don’t need highly elaborated dishes to be fully enjoyed. If you serve them in the most basic and simple ways, its taste will still stand out. One easy and succulent way to appreciate how exquisite black Truffle can be would be to cut thin slivers onto a plate and pour good quality virgin olive oil over it, leave it to marinate for a couple of hours and serve on thinly sliced bread. You could try this same trick with Ham and the result will be its full flavor in your mouth.

So, the question is how to pair Truffles and Spanish Meats? The answer is there are so many ways! Next, we’re sharing three recipe ideas to try at home. Choose your favorite, get your ingredients and let’s cook!
